RMS AND CONDITIONS

ENROLMENT:

Enrolments are based on a whole year, not on a term by term basis.

Should your child/ren cease attending, please advise in writing to both admin@kimharveydance.com.au + khsd.office@gmail.com

TRIAL CLASSES:

A student may trial a class at a cost of :

  • Little Acorns - $15.00 per class

  • Adults - $24.00 per class

  • All other students - $20.00 per class

which will then be deducted from Term Fees should student continue in that class.

 

FEES:

There is an annual Administration Fee of $30 per student.

Invoices will be issued within the first 2 weeks of each Term as per the Fees Schedule.

Payment of fees may be by either cash or Direct Deposit.  Cheques are not accepted. 

When paying by Direct Deposit please ensure reference is either student’s name or invoice number.

Fee payments may be made by instalments on agreement with Kim Harvey or Vera Anderson.

Term fees are expected to be paid in full prior to commencement of following Term.

Term fees are equal for all terms regardless of number of weeks.

Fees are non-refundable, except on presentation of a medical certificate.

Where a student alters his or her timetable after 2nd week of term, a casual fee might be charged.

Fees do not include holiday classes, costume hire, accessories for exams, additional exam classes (outside normal offered classes), workshops, special classes with guest teachers and end-of-year performance.

 

PERFORMANCE CLASSES:

Those students participating in the Performance Classes must be enrolled and participating in a minimum of 2 Ballet classes per week. 

KHSD enters a number of Eisteddfods throughout the year in Canberra and interstate.  Performance students are required to be available to perform at these events.

A costume hire fee will be charged per student per routine – per Eisteddfod.

Students participating in Performance Class must complete the separate Performance Class Enrolment Form.

 

PRIVATE LESSONS:

Private Lessons are only arranged with agreement of Miss Kim. 

Students must be enrolled in Performance group before being considered for Solos.

Refund or credit of Private Lesson fees on missed classes will be at the discretion of Miss Kim.   24 hours notice needs to be given to Miss Kim where Private Lessons will be missed.  When less than 24 hours notice is given, refund/credit will be at the discretion of Miss Kim.

 

CHOREOGRAPHY:

All choreography for eisteddfod groups and solos, annual performances and the like taught by KHSD staff and guest teachers remain the property of KHSD and may not be used without permission from the Director, Miss Kim.

 

PHYSICAL CONTACT:

The nature of dance classes requires physical student-teacher contact for the purposes of placement and correction of technique.  Physical contact may be necessary also when trying costumes and the administering of first aid.   Any contact will always be appropriate.  All teachers have ACT Child Safety clearance.

 

EEND OF YEAR PERFORMANCE:

It will be assumed that all students will be participating in our end-of-year performance.  All parents/guardians will be required to sign and return a permission note which will be issued in Term 4.  All students will be required to attend the extra rehearsals at the theatre along with both performances (generally one evening and one matinee).

There will be a costume hire applicable to all students in the end-of-year performance.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

KHSD presents a number of scholarships each year. 

- Mrs Perry Scholarship: Awarded to a Grade level student.  Covers Grade class fees for Terms 1 and 2.

- Jazz/Tap/Contemporary Scholarship:  This scholarship entitles the recipient to free tuition for the relevant genre for the year.

- Full Scholarship: This scholarships entitles the recipient to free tuition of all timetabled classes offered by KHSD.  Private Lessons, Day School, Guest Teacher classes, workshops are not included in any scholarship.

 

STUDENT CONDUCT

Students of KHSD are required to conduct themselves in a responsible and respective manner at all times both within the Oak and when representing KHSD outside the studio.
