WHAT DANCE STYLES ARE OFFERED AT KHSD?
At KHSD we offer classes in Classical Ballet (RAD Grades and Vocational), Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary*, Musical Theatre, Lyrical*, Singing Dancer, Conditioning, Open Classical Class and Performance. We also have Adult Ballet and Adult Tap.
*Contemporary & Lyrical classes are not offered for young dancers

HOW MANY CLASSES DO I NEED TO DO TO BE ABLE TO DO A BALLET EXAM?
The RAD requires a minimum of 2 Graded and/or 3 Vocational syllabus classes a week to be considered for an exam. At KHSD you are also required to attend a complusory week of intensive exam classes in the July School holidays.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO START BALLET AT KHSD?
At KHSD we start at 3 years old. We have specialised classes for 3 & 4 year olds called Little Acorns. These classes run on Wednesday and Saturday morning. Please contact us for more information.
